Introduction
Since the success
of the 1st GeoShanghai International Conference in 2006,
geotechnical communities have witnessed many new
advances in technology and engineering practice. In
order to showcase the latest developments and promote
international collaborations in geotechnical engineering
and related areas, the organizers of the GeoShanghai
International Conference 2010 would like to invite
geotechnical researchers, educators, and practitioners
from all over the world to participate in the 2nd
GeoShanghai International Conference to be held in
Shanghai in June 2010.
Situated by the coastal
Yangtze River Delta, Shanghai is a cosmopolitan city
where traditions of Chinese culture have been seamlessly
blended into
those from all over the world. Over the
last three decades, Shanghai has experienced great
expansion in infrastructure construction, resulting in
hundreds of projects that showcase the best of
geotechnical engineering design.
Our conference will
coincide with the Shanghai World ,Expo 2010 during which
period, the participants will have the opportunity to
join visitors from all over the world to celebrate this
world cultural festivity and enjoy the best event the
city will offer.
